After reading Nathalie’s bog about our Thai Swan adventure yesterday, I wiki’d dim sum to see what’s in store for me as I become more culi-curious.
I see: vegetables and seafood. That scares me. But meat, dessert and tea? That sounds OK. I’m divided…
Especially because I just enjoyed a totally greasy pizza with Tom at Zito’s. I feel like I rubbed it on my face rather than ate it, but you know what? Nom. That’s all I have to say. As we polished it off, Tom laughed and said, “We’re such fatasses.” My reply?
“I’d rather die fat and happy.” That’s been my food mantra for a long time. My health is important to me, don’t get me wrong. That’s why I go to the gym and run and bear with the asthma and sore muscles afterward. But I could never go on a genuine diet because I like food too much. I like to enjoy what I’m eating and I don’t want to give that up. Probably a “This is Why I’m Single” moment, but it’s also a “this is why I’m happy” moment.
